Tarquin’s joins the cause to create gin-inspired hand-sanitiser for essential workers
Tarquins pivots business in response to concerns about the availability of hand sanitiser
In response to concerns about the availability of hand sanitiser for Cornish essential workers, Southwestern Distillery has joined the cause to make their own.
Made to an approved world health organisation recipe, and infused with their signature Tarquin’s Gin botanical essences – juniper and orange, it is bound to lift the spirits for those most in need!
Most of the sanitiser will be put aside for free distribution to local Cornish hospitals, care-homes and for the teams working at local food outlets.
It has an alcohol content of 80% and comes in re-purposed gin bottles – 5cl bottles with an efficient spray applicator and a limited supply of 50cl bottle for local essential workers so they can stay topped up.
Tarquin Leadbetter, founder and master distiller added:
At this incredibly unpredictable time we’re glad to help out our local community by creating something that we all usually take for granted. We’d love to encourage people to stay at home and follow government guidelines to protect the NHS and save lives.
5cl bottles will be available to purchase by the public on the Tarquin’s website once they have donated the first batch to healthcare professionals and other essential workers.
