Tourism Breakfast – Tourism Without Limits

How Smart businesses are diversifying to take local experiences to global audiences.

This session will explore how technology and creative thinking can help Cornish tourism business increase their impact beyond the South West.

We will be joined by Dan James, Development Director at the Eden project to discuss how the attraction plans to use recently announced government funding for a 5G test and trial programme. He will describe how Eden plans to grow its reach, to share its message to wider audiences and to diversify in order to become less reliant on visitor numbers.

The session will also include insights from Bad Wolf Horizon’s Tom Wadsworth, focusing on the potential of drone photography and filming to bring landscapes and experiences to life. Bad Wolf Horizon is at the technical forefront of drone filming with Virtual Reality and Live streaming capabilities and Tom will explain how virtual drone tours can benefit businesses.

For tourism businesses in Cornwall diversifying and increasing the digital offer is becoming increasingly important and this session aims to bring insights and to stimulate ideas, discussion and networking.
