In these four morning InFocus sessions, we’ll help you look hard at your websites’ effectiveness, work out what needs to change and produce a practical plan to improve performance. You will come away feeling up-to-date, fine-tuned and fully-informed about what efficiencies and improvements you (or your developer) can make to your website to save you time and increase the effectiveness of your online presence.
What and when:
Spread over three weeks in July (8th, 13th, 15th and 20th), these interactive virtual sessions will feature searching questions and bags of detail, plus there’ll be help from our team and insights of invited experts to guide you through it.
Who is it for?
The sessions are targeted at owner-managed businesses turning over between £85k and £500k. They are suited to individuals responsible for their own website who need to work on a plan for making it work better for the business.
We’ll focus on your website’s effectiveness in the digital landscape and what this means when it comes to getting found by the right customers. We’ll cover crawling, indexing, ranking and the importance of designing for different digital devices. Having introduced some useful SEO tools, we’ll also delve into the data that drives introduce the search engine results page and look at how you can get clever with keywords for maximum effect.
In this session, we shift our focus to your customer; how to find them, and how they find you. We’ll also look at the customer buying behaviour, and how a complementary marketing mix of paid, owned and earned activity is where the magic really happens.
We now know how your online presence is looking, and have a better understanding of how your customers find you. So this session asks some bigger questions to challenge your thinking around what your website is really for. We’ll also build on session 2’s focus on the importance of design – but this time for the user experience. How to keep your customers engaged, returning and converting through the value of long term conversations and investing in relationships. If you’re thinking of talking to a web developer to make website improvements, this session will help inform that brief and a greater understanding of what your upgraded site would need.
Looking to the future, data will play an important part to keep your customers engaged with your website. In this concluding session we will return to Google Analytics, looking at how to use this data to measure your websites performance and make informed decisions to plan future campaigns.
Digital Basecamp will develop your insight into what does and doesn’t work, and how your website can be central to your digital marketing mix. You will leave with a digital marketing plan, the skills you need to deliver it, and the knowledge of how to get any extra help you might need.
Book your place – there is no cost to you however we will need to ask you to complete a short form for our funders.
