Breakthrough Stories: The Smash It! Coach & Bad Wolf Horizon

Breakthrough:
The Smash It! Coach and Bad Wolf Horizon

Two Cornish businesses, two very different business journeys and their shared experiences at a Breakthrough 2-dayer.

Introducing: The Smash It! Coach and Bad Wolf Horizon.

My passion is Behaviour Change Coaching because I’m interested in people.  I like getting to know people and understand what makes them tick.  As a Behaviour Change Coach I can help people to reconnect with what that is.  The key to this is to discover and Smash the barriers that are in your way.

I moved to Cornwall in 2011 and I’ve been working here for BCS (Behaviour Change Specialists) with business clients in the UK and internationally (hooray for Skype!).  I’ve also coached for Cornwall Works at various Job Centre Plus sites across the Duchy and run my own private practice as well.

Reflecting on the two-dayer, held at St Michael’s Hotel in Falmouth, Sandra said:

I decided to attend the Breakthrough workshop to grow my business following relocation to Cornwall particularly as I was entering a niche of working with professional women.  I’ve met some amazing business people and I’ve learnt a lot about the sort of people my business needs to be targeting. There is so much content that is useful for me moving forward.

Tom founded Bad Wolf Horizon Ltd. in August 2017. Having a strong background in film production and aerial photography meant that they are more than just “drone pilots”, they are filmmakers and photographers taking the drone revolution to new heights. Literally.

The ideas developed from Bad Wolf Media have been featured in The Times and The Mail Online.  In October 2018 Tom was shortlisted for the Western Morning News “Young Business Person of the Year” and won an award for ‘Best Digital Innovation in Tourism’ at the Cornwall Live EDGE Awards.

Tom had been running his business for 18 months when he decided to attend the Breakthrough Workshop for a second time.

He said:

I wanted to come back to have a refresh; to make sure I was doing the right thing and to see if there was anything I was overlooking. Being here and talking about my business, getting it down onto paper, helped me come up with my plan and how the business could develop over the coming months.
