Behind the scenes of our brand film
Head backstage during the filming of our Future Focus brand film
We made a brand film to demonstrate the Future Focus mix of peer-to-peer workshops, ‘gamechanger’ events and one-to-one support. Working with Fish for Thought owner Paul Trudgian, we describe the journey a business leader embarks upon when they become a part of Future Focus.
We worked closely with Idenna creative agency over several months to plan content, timing and logistics. The film is one continuous shot, so we needed a big location that could accommodate the set, lighting and camera equipment. We opted for a barn on the outskirts of Polzeath- which in winter meant battling against wind and rain to get the film in the can.
Our Marketing Manager, Betty Paton, explained the creative process behind the bold film.
When dreaming up the concept for our new brand film, I knew it needed to not only tell the Future Focus journey, but also be charming and visually engrossing. Inspired by the colourful music videos of the band OK Go, which play with concepts of time and space and are often filmed in just one shot, we presented Idenna with the idea of an intricate and well-choreographed film that drew together all these elements.
We knew it would be ambitious, but Idenna took this idea and have delivered something that embodies what Future Focus is all about – business leaders stepping away from the everyday to experience inspiration and innovation through collaboration and support – in a colourful, well-choreographed and clever way. Getting to be a part of the filming process was just the cherry on the cake!
Whether it’s supporting business leaders to innovate for growth, or helping to recruit new staff, our teams work hard behind the scenes to make our support as streamline as possible for everyone we work with.
Becks Polson, Operations and Marketing Manager at Unlocking Potential, said:
Our aim was to deliver a ‘hide the wiring’ message through our brand film, to give viewers an insight into the work that goes on behind the scenes at Unlocking Potential. In the ‘making of’ documentary you’ll see our team moving the set and props around while the filming takes place. We wanted the film to parallel the support we give to people and businesses every day – I think we achieved that.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to the people involved in the film creation; the team at Idenna, set designer Amie Norton, JHAV lighting and all the cast including our star Paul Trudgian.
